Well being a fan of avenged from the beginning I can tell you that I was watching them back when it did only cost $10 to see them. Now its at least 23 or so. I like Dead to Fall. I partied with them two years ago when I brought them to Sunset.

I kinda see Haggards point, if you look at DTF's schedule about 3 weeks later their playing shows with Misery Signals, Arsis and Ed Gein, 3 more national big time acts for $2 more. Another show with Arsis and Ed Gein for $8 right before that show. No offense to local bands, but most of them just arent that good. I'll probably just wait for them to play Indy with 3 or 4 other big bands for the same price.

hey im tired of hearing people complain about the price. its not changing its more than fair and quite frankly its pretty damn cheap compared to other bands. so come see the show and have a good time.

i'm not going, not because of that (or the price), but because that show's not worth it to me (i don't like the bands.).. i hope it goes well though.

but seriously, with that kind of attitude what good is it you're doing?

Regarding the scene, Ft. Wayne's Agatha is just as "good" as Dead to Fall or other similar local bands that have death metal screaming and thrash drumming - there is no significant difference in talent or sound between these two bands.

It also depends on what scene you're speaking of - young bands like Zephaniah, Coverdown, and Downstait fit outside of the hardcore/metal genre and don't get as much attention as these bands which lack diversity in their sound.

If you think Dead to Fall is not a better band than everyother band that played tonight you were not at this show. This show was sick just sick.

i for one did not go. i would have gone ONLY to see the local openers. BUT john, don't sell the local scene short by saying it sucks bro. Sept 2nd is 12 gauge valentine (solid state records), sept 22 is the showdown (mono vs stereo) oct 25th is underminded (kung fu) and across five aprils (indianola)....theres alot happening round yonder. 2 years ago, dead to fall was nothing. I was at that show. there wasn't TOO many people there. I understand the buy in for bands, because im in a band...and i'm an ex-promoter. Sometimes buy in's are necessary when there's a ridiculous guarantee on the line. john just make sure you don't trash talk the scene you're tryin to help brotha. some people might not like it.

It might not be a good business policy to tell people to shut the %^%& up about anything either John.... especially if you want those people to come to your shows.
