I supported them two years ago when we had them. Where were you then? My problem is not with the bands getting the money, it is with the wrong people making money by charging that much.

Yup had em 2 years at $6 a head, and minus old news settled arguments the show went on just fine.

but then again Kent is in charge so who knows whats going on there. So I say with each band with 40 tickets, thats at least $1200, so what is DTF getting out of this arangement?

Don't get me wrong, I hope your show goes on without a hitch but it think its more about the quanity of people that get to see the show rather then the money.

You charge 6 and more people have the ability / urge to come. Not all of your audience is minors with mom and dads allowance, you also got old school folks with car payments, rent, child support, exc... who do in fact need that extra 4 bucks for gas just to get there.

well thank you al. but in all seriousness. this is gonna be an amazing show and honestly the scene here sux im trying to bring in awesome bands for all of us. its gonna cost money like everything else does. if you have a love for music then money shouldnt be a problem. id go see a band id like for 50 bux if i had to. save up if needed. but i dont need to save up for 10 bux.that cost less then the average cd.

just warning you, you know I did exactly what you are doing 2 yrs ago. So i know a thing or two. I put togather and helped put together many of shows at sunset.

and alas i would in fact be there if i didnt live so far away

I am only one person. That doesn't make a "scene". I would rather save my ten bucks for the next time Avenged Sevenfold comes.

When you talk about trying to bring in awesome bands that is something I did for a few years and countless times got taken by several venue owners who would rather make a couple hundred measly dollars instead of paying the entertainment fairly. So be cautious and keep fighting the good fight.

Avenged?...I guarantee an Avenged show would cost much more than 10 dollars...so maybe make the distinction that you dont want to pay 10 dollars to see Dead to Fall which is fine..if you dont like them then you dont have an opinion on how much one of their shows cost..John is right..the scene in Fort Wayne does suck...im tired of hearing about bands like Seether coming and playing Pierre's..so Kudos in the attempt to bring variety to Ft. Lame

Well being a fan of avenged from the beginning I can tell you that I was watching them back when it did only cost $10 to see them. Now its at least 23 or so. I like Dead to Fall. I partied with them two years ago when I brought them to Sunset.
