i'm glad you're staying true to your promise. even though i was forced against my will for most of them. i feel so exploited.

How many people actually proudly counter popular opinion on these boards...That's why I think Tim is awesome.

Having a different opinion should have promoted a lot of discussion here. "Why do you hate the Beatles, etc..."

But instead, it was met with closed minds, people who didn't want to discuss music; they wanted to dictate discussion by putting Tim down.

Tim is truly himself amongst a lot of people who are afraid to do that. I can't imagine he's the only one on these boards who disagrees with some of the opinions of the posters here. So I'm glad he's around. Hopefully he'll inspire more of the newbies, who are so often turned away by hateful comments, to stick around longer.

I might have been able to admire timmy in some ways for his individuality, but his opinions generally aren't backed up by any reason. Also adding things to statements such as "Nirvana sucked, I'm glad Kurt is dead" is not really showing any respect to other people's likes or dislikes. We could all say we do like or do not like something. But most people would not take it to the step of well your band sucks I hope you get cancer. He is not really shown much respect around here because he does not show respect to much other than his own self worth.

if i remember correctly, one of the reasons i don't like nirvana at all is because of kurt's voice. in my opinion, it's awful. i absolutely hate the deep crooning or whatever the f**k you want to call it that those grunge vocalists do. also, their music was simplistic and unoriginal.

why do i say that?

listen to the chorus riff of "more than a feeling" by boston. now, listen to the intro riff of "smells like teen spirit". it's the exact same thing. that's not very original or "punk rock" of kurt to do. even lovers of nirvana agree with me on this.
