I was just ribbin ya. Seriously, I like both covers. Being a fan of Sauer's work, I love what he did. To be honest, his artwork was for a poster, not cd cover. We will still use it for the intended purpose.anderson wrote:i won't apologize.. it's just not as strong as Jacobs.. I don't know the thinking with label execs... but what you had before was way better.
I agree. It looks like poster material. And I get this strange superhero/Incredible Hulk vibe from it, too.GRAVE ROBBER wrote:I was just ribbin ya. Seriously, I like both covers. The owner/president of Retroactive Records didn't feel Jacob's artwork represented us the way he wanted to market us. I would say that Sauer's artwork definetely fit our band perfectly. However, whatever marketting plan is going on with retroactive is a different story. They know their clientele and fanbase and feel they could generate interest quicker with this new cover.
We are looking at posters, stickers, and temporary tattoos with Jacob's artwork. It will be used!
Anyway, I was interested to see what everyone thought of the cd cover, so. . .
WHATTA THINK?
