Well, of course there are records that use backwards sounds. But the proponents of "masking" say that humans can hear these backwards sounds and de-code them in their brains, coming under the subconscious influence of things they didn't even know they heard. That, of course, is the myth. And stupid.

Then there was the song by Christian rockers Petra, called Judas Kiss, that obviously had some backwards message at the beginning.

When played backward, it said, "Why are you looking for the devil when you oughta' be looking for the Lord?"
