evidence supports micro and fails to support macro. No debate at all about micro level evolution.

How do you explain fossils then?bassjones wrote:evidence supports micro and fails to support macro. No debate at all about micro level evolution.

the bones of dead animals/men/plants buried under ground under enough pressure to fossilize. that still offers no evidence of species to species evolution.

How old do think the earth is?bassjones wrote:the bones of dead animals/men/plants buried under ground under enough pressure to fossilize. that still offers no evidence of species to species evolution.
And how do you explain fossil evidence showing a series of species with manlike and apelike characteristics that existed at different times, and becoming more and more manlike over the years?

10-14,000 years old.
different sub-species of apes most likely. Or potential frauds. Also, the timelines are based on a bias. The predetermined belief that the earth is billions of years old and required that much time for the slow evolution of one species to another is a bias. Perhaps those fossils were here together.
Finally, a world-wide flood would have caused mass burials over the course of a few days and could have left different sub-species at different levels of burial.
How do you explain the existence of apes and the lack of any transitional species living today?

I'm on my way out to grab coffee, but I will have a very detailed answer either tonight or tomorrow. Thank you for answering all my questions thus far.bassjones wrote:10-14,000 years old.

Although I do not have anything to contribute directly on the subject matter at this time, I wanted to throw out a thought here anyways.
It is very refreshing to see two adults discuss opposing views on this board without reverting to some of the negatavism (is that a word? if not I copywrite it) i've seen here in the past.
Kudos to you both!

It's like Camp David or something...

10-14,000 years - where does that number come from?
Frauds - a few frauds doesn't make a few thousand frauds (many cult leaders have thought they were the son of god too...they were frauds. Does that make Jesus a fraud?)
The flood - is there any proof that a world wide flood happened outside of the bible?
Transitional fossils - I can't remember what it was called, but there was the find just a few months ago of an early animal with fish like characteristics but also with feet - transitional. Whales found from 65 million years ago with tiny remnants of feet - transitional. Were these all fake then? I remember that Strobel argument from the book. That too was a biased opinion from a biased source representing a very small percentage of scientists (5% from what I've read).
Apes still existing - If I had a dime for every person I've heard say, "what, we turned into humans from apes?", I'd be dead. The characteristics are stunning though, aren't they? Except for that frontal lobe. We left the arboreal setting and survived in different areas. We outlasted the Neanderthals. We outlasted Homo Erectus (other species that left the arboreal setting). The apes evolved in their own way in an arboreal setting. It wasn't ape vs. man.
Seriously...if I bought you a copy of a Richard Dawkins' book would you read it and give it serious consideration?
