As the biggest Michigan fan in most rooms, I'm rooting for Ohio State. I hate all the Florida schools. Especially Miami, but Florida's right up there in the disdain factor. Trash talkin', fighting, recruiting violations, off field criminal behavior. And then the open politicking this year. I hope OSU wins by 6 TDs.

Welcome to big time college athletics, where student athletes are merely students of the game.

I know.

Maybe it's just me, but it seems worse with the Southern schools, especially the Florida schools. Even taking ND out of the discussion, it seems there is less of that in the midwest schools, and higher academic standards. As much as people disliked the fab 5, Jalen Rose carried a 3.5 GPA at Michigan while he was there. C-Webb did well too. I don't know about the other 3. I also know Bo didn't, Gary Mohler didn't, and Lloyd Carr doesn't tolerate missing class or study table, or put up with off-field behavior problems.

Webber was in court not so many years back about approximately a quarter of a million dollars he was paid when playing for Michigan.

He's a bright boy...I remember when he figured out the formula for gaining an extra time-out in the NCAA tourney against Duke...

Which got the basketball coach fired. UM didn't put up with it. He was also found not guilty of any wrongdoing I believe.

Steve Fisher stayed on at Michigan LONG after the Fab five and Webber's time out were but a faded memory.

I can kinda agree with that statement but what about all that hollerin they did about getting jobbed by the BCS and wanting a rematch with OSU? Seems like they had a great opportunity to add validity to those claims by whipping USC.

Trojans came in with a chip on their shoulder and kicked Michigan's azz. You can blame this season on Lloyd Carr.

(You are high if you dont think Weis is a better coach than previous ones by the way.)

And by whipping USC they would still stand no chance of being the #1 team in the nation. There's the court of public opinion and then there's the BCS. Unfortunately, until the court of public opinion causes decision makers to adjust the system, the BCS and its inherent uncertainty will reign.

Yes, however he was fired very shortly after the investigation into the recruiting violations regarding Webber and the booster were completed and it became fairly obvious that Fisher knew and was turning a blind eye.
