That will more than likely NOT be the first round matchup. It will change as more teams join, I'm pretty sure.

We'll make THIS FRIDAY, AUGUST 4th the deadline for registering. This will give everyone enough time to pre-rank* their players.

* pre-ranking your players means adjusting the draft order to drafter players in the order you would want to draft them IF you're not going to be able to make it to the Live Draft.

A couple of questions for the Commissioner:

Since the draft is 1 month out, shouldn't we wait another week, or so, before we cease to allow any more entrants?

Also, is there any way possible that we can do the draft after Labor Day weekend? Maybe Tuesday or Wednesday? The Saturday of Labor Day weekend might be a really tough day for a lot of people to commit to anything. I'm out of town.

I've never participated in a "Live Draft", do we do the draft in person, or online?

You're right. It doesn't hurt to wait a little longer. Let's extend the deadline to August 18th to register.

It wouldn't be a good idea to do it AFTER Labor Day weekend. The first game is September 7th and I want to leave a few days in between the draft and the first game so teams can work the Waiver Wire. At this time, the draft is Sept. 2nd. I'll look into possibly moving the draft up a few days. Maybe @ the end of August, PRIOR to Labor Day? Possibly a Friday around 5:30pm? haha

Seriously, though...the new draft time is August 30th @ 6:45pm. (pending league approval which I will address in a different post)

It's online in a chat room-like format. Yahoo will have a "Your League Is Drafting Now" option available when you sign in to your team account approximately 30 minutes before the draft begins. Click on it and the window will pop up and everything else will be self-explanatory.

UPDATES!

NEW DRAFT TIME: Wednesday, August 30th @ 6:45pm (I will attempt to find a draft time that's convenient for the majority of the league)

REGISTRATION DATE EXTENDED: Due to request, the last day to register for the league has been changed to August 18th.
