this is being delayed a couple weeks- it WILL happen, i've been assured. i've also been told to expect a call tomorrow from Phil himself apologizing....apparently he was looking forward to this as much as I was.

good news is, FHM is throwing me $400 or so "to compensate for the delay". i'm good. this means i can afford to take my wife with me.

from what the guy at FHM said, they have over $10,000 invested in this (!!!!) and they're not letting this one go.

it's kind of a 'layover', in a way.

bottom line is, i get more time to learn how to beat him, more time to practice, and i have more of a reason to kick his ass.

no updates yet. another hash mark of those who let me down. big surprise....anytime something important to me presents itself, something happens to f**k it up... i have a way of breeding these.

but i know there's a higher power looking out for me, and the best will come of it.

phil was supposed to call, he didnt.

when this does happen, i will be ready. readier (?) than i was.

fear not, any updates i get, i will post.

ok, after all kinds of back and forth, this is finally back on. i leave for vegas on friday, june 23, play Phil on monday, the 26th and fly back the 27th....they're hooking me up with 4 nights. and, this is the weekend that the WSOP games start, so that should be fun.

and, anyone that wants to help (ie: play heads up, $5 a game) drop me a line. i needs the practice....

this just gets better....

i just got off the phone with FHM.

if i beat Phil, he's putting up $10,000 for my buy in into the MAIN F**KING EVENT. not the $1500 tourney. not the $5k tourney. THE. MAIN. EVENT.

also, they are doing a photo shoot at the Bellagio on Monday morning with their new poker columnist. L and I are going to be guests. and i'll get the chance to spend some time with him and get some tips on how to beat Phil.

the columnist?

Doyle Brunson.

Doyle effing Brunson is going to give me poker tips. and prolly stare at my wife's boobs the whole time.

also, when i win, they're paying for my commemorative tattoo. i think it's at the place they have on that show, "Inked". pretty sure. in the off chance i lose, i have to get "Phil Kicked This" tattooed on my posterioral region.

yeah.

i'm actually mailing him the 4 9's out of my deck soon. he's pretty effing good though, and a nice guy, for the most part, to me. doyle was nicer and tougher. he may get more bracelets than doyle, but he'll never have the respect.
