I thought Lateralus was a f*ckin' monster album! I think this band just keeps getting better.

I'm on the fence with TOOL, I supposed I would dig them if I listened more.

But one thing about TOOL is their videos are ALWAYS incredible.

WOW.

The stuff nightmares are made of.

That always impressed me too. I think it's pretty awesome when the band doesn't need to be the focal point of their media releases.

IMHO they don't have that 'rockstar' attitude...

I thought Lateralus was cool except for all the long, drawn out intros to all the songs.
The songs, themselves, rocked though.

I really liked how the entire album melds together, the dowside to it is it doesn't feel complete unless you listen to the whole thing.

i think after lateralus its hard to listen to some of the earlier tool albums. Theyre good but lateralus is just sooooo much better.

Lateralus was my least favorite tool album. I liked the songs well enough but the overall sound was a little TOO polished for my taste. I like my rock a little bit dirty. Just my opinion.

hmm i dont think ive ever though tool was boring except on some of the earlier songs. I really liked how everything was totally perfect like audio wise on lateralus, i really liked the mixing. I also really loved how all the songs flow together but stand alone (for the most part).

Apparently there is a review for the new album, written by Andy King from total rock.com. I read it on the tool navy forums but it was removed from total rock and tool navy. What i remeber was:
- Obviously the CD was awesome.
-Its 11 tracks
-Only two Segues!
-Each song avereged around 7 min.
-Track 5 is apparently there most commercial and their best(?)
-It sounded like themes from Third Eye/Triad are touched on.
-Screaming was not mentioned so theyre prolly werent any Ticks and Leeches style songs.
-More tribally sounding parts

Andy King said it was bliss, but still challenging.
I cant wait.

Oh and rumored release date is May 2nd
