In Kentucky, the public courses have an interesting way of returning fire at the Country Club, and it only costs them one bear.

And suddenly, there emerged from the woods a bad joke about a bear mistaking golfers for circus clowns because of their dress. But, almost as quickly as it happened, it was decided to be distressfully unfunny and the back nine continued for the three startled golfers without a single mauling.

In an ironic twist of fate Jack Nicklaus is reincarnated as a BROWN bear, but at least he didn't lose his love for the game.

In the moments after their narrow escape the golfers would flash back to the time when they were boys in Derry, Maine and the clown head at the local putt-putt tried to eat them.
