Not so much an album...

But...'Oh Holy Night' kicks it.

By whomever.

And Carol of the Bells? Instrumental.

(You know...DING! fries are done... DING! fries are done..)

My favorite foundation to add my own dirty Christmas lyrics.

Charlie Brown Theme (love the bass line)
Cheech & Chong (cant remember the title)
Carpenters anything (yes, I'm embarrassed ........... note to Ollie: best version of Carol of The Bells)
Brian Setzer Orch. (for kicked up versions)
and more of a rarity is the Beatles Christmas Album (extremely funny)
.

Hate to admit it, but HC Jr. has a GREAT voice. I tend to enjoy that one as well. But my favorite has to be:

Another one high on my list is Bruce Cockburn's Christmas album. There's a song called "Blues for the Child" that is amazing.

I HATE country music. I despise everything it stands for . . . dogs and tractors be damned.

That said, Kenny Rogers - Old Kentucky Christmas is my favorite Christmas album of all time.

My personal favorite version of Carol of the Bells.

I used to own it on tape as a kid, it was awesome. Now I have the CD, it comes packaged with some kind of Christmas Duets album he did with Dolly Parton. The Dolly album sucks, but Kenny still delivers the goods.

Circa 1978, The Ravers' Punk Rock Christmas, with an inspiring version of Silent Night. (early Rhino Records.)

I have a spoken word version of 'Twas The Night Before Christmas' as done by Henry Rollins over what sounds like dissonent guitars and a political riot.

Complete with gunshots, sirens and explosions.

In the key of C
