Oh my perverted jesus! We'd love a manager to take some of the stress off of us, but where do we find one?

I don't think a manager has anything to offer me that I can't do myself.

For the most part, I don't think you need a manager until you start playing regular gigs. If you're just starting out, the most important thing to do is network.

Go out and get to know other folks in bands. The bands that seem to get shows are out there hitting the streets everynight.

Once some other bands know you're serious (at least about your band) they'll more then likey throw a gig your way.

So...care to share? There has got to be a story behind this posting.

Or is this a generalization from an uninformed opinion?

Like I dunno....ALL newbies are idiots?

I'm not in a band, but enjoy rocking shows with my lowbrow karaoke rap antics. I've been fortunate enough to get a show here or there and bit by bit I'm getting better at it.
