It seems that this got a little out of hand. I did not meant to demean you in any way. I was just trying to make a point and put a little humor in it. If it did not come off that way, I am sorry.
My point was that this guy has put a lot of time into working towards mastering his bass, and has done quit well. What he is doing is very difficult. To play that fast with that much control and precision is not easy. He deserves respect for his accomplishment. Just because you or anyone else does not like the song he chose is not an excuse to mock him.
I’m sure that he plays many other songs of a nature that others might find more pleasing, but there are few songs, particularly for bass, where one can demonstrate what he is doing.

I think he deserves kudos for his effort.

By the way, that piece, "Flight of the Bumblebee" is a famous orchestral interlude written by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov for his opera The Tale of Tsar Saltan, composed in 1899-1900.

I think you missed the sarcasm and self - mockery of my post. Nothing I said was making fun of this musician. I was making fun of my own un-ability to play anything remotely like that because of the time I waste on stupid video games. I think Ollie tried to point out it was meant to be taken sarcasticly in his following post. (though I may be wrong).

I didn't feel at all demeaned by your post. If anything, I was amused that you took mine so seriously.

You are correct. I did not see it and still don't, but I will take your word for it. Sorry for the confusion.

He's been playing for a while. He's got a rock band of some sort or another... Not that it makes me any more likely to vote for him, especially when he's playing that ibenez ;)
