the ULTIMATE FIGHTER FINALE:

Wiman
Garcia
Maynard
Miller (I'd be surprised if this went beyond the 1st round.)
Lauzon (Lauzon will be a headliner one of these days.)
Sword
Huerta
Diaz (though I wouldn't be surprised if Gamburyan wins)
Pulver (please shut BJ Penn's mouth)

MY PREDICTIONS:
Wiman
Garcia
Maynard (NO CONTEST)
Miller (As I predicted...ended early in the 1st)
Lauzon (Lauzon will be a headliner one of these days.)
Sword
Huerta
Diaz (though I wouldn't be surprised if Gamburyan wins)
Pulver (please shut BJ Penn's mouth)
An interesting night, to say the least. I was disappointed with the Pulver/Penn match but it was obvious from the beginning the Penn was going to dominate. Pulver's got a long way to go to get back on top of his game.

The Maynard/Emerson match was weird...Maynard had Emerson in the air, slammed him down...and knocked himself out. However, Emerson tapped due to a rib injury...no one knew Maynard was out...they eventually called it a No Contest.

I don't believe I saw a drop of blood the entire night.

I was really upset to see the Diaz/Gamburyan fight end the way it did. That could have been a great fight.

And what was up with Maynard trying to say he wasn't out? What an ass. I didn't have a ton of respect for the guy before this, but now I pretty much hate the dude. Just watching the replay it is obvious he knocked himself out when he landed. He goes completely limp, rolls off Emerson, and then almost falls face first into Emerson's crotch when he goes to get up.

I can see where he's coming from only because a lot of fighters have that same reaction when the ref stops the match. But to whine about it for the entire post-fight interview and then whine about it backstage during interviews...yeah, I lost all respect for him. Leave it in the ring and take your losses like a man...in this case, a no contest decision.
