I've been thinking that for about a couple years now. If Iraq hadn't ended up such a quagmire, the US probably would've been in Iran a year ago.

I'm starting to think Iraq is a quagmire on purpose and the troop buildup is in preparation for an impending invasion of Iran who was the real target all along. Makes sense since we've got them completely surrounded now, which makes Iraq look like a much better idea now. They don't have to tell us everything, because telling us tells them too...
