A New Political Party

Post by sevesd93 »

The time has come to start a new political party.

I propose the PARTY PARTY.

I want the people who are losing the things they love, to join the Party Party. I want overweight people, smokers, drinkers and gun owners.

We are going to eat a sh*t load, smoke a sh*t load, drink a sh*t load, and kill all of gods tasty creatures. (Including Gorillas, because I heard they taste like chicken.)

This is the PARTY PARTY!!!!

Sorry, We Libertarians beat you to your platform of maximum liberty years ago. . . .

Don't reinvent the wheel.

Thats the beauty though, there is no platform. This is just a group of people with one common goal, which is to gain back our freedom.

Keith's right. That's exactly the Libertarian party's purpose. Take back liberty from the thieves who steal it.

Libertarianism = Leaving people alone + Leaving people's money alone.

You just contradicted yourself. ;-)

Besides, without a platform, you are just a bunch of people griping.

Libertarians stand for maximum liberty and minimum government.

So how do we afford to blow up and liberate countries like Iraq? And shouldn't we leave them alone too? :)

I suppose we should just leave every mass murdering dictator alone to do as he pleases, yes. Darwinism, even though I don't believe in Darwinism. Let the dictators wipe out the weak.

I was actually curious. From what I've read of the libertarian party, they're anti-aggression. That was one of the things that intrigued me when I first started reading about it, and was actually into it for awhile (then I realized the inability of most of the nations people).

But really, isn't the party as a whole opposed to most foreign aid and intervention? I understand that a country can't be totally isolated from the world, but correct me if I'm wrong. I don't know if I'm remembering incorrectly what I read, and I'm not feeling like looking it up at the moment.

And the Darwinsism thing? You once recommended some books to me by Strobel about a year ago. I read all of them. Have you ever read any books describing the other side of the creation vs. evolution argument? Again, I'm curious, not being an ass.

Many Libertarians are isolationists, yes. I believe we have a responsibility as the world's leading power to assist the rest of the world on occasion. That may be militarily or financially. Not a fan of the UN though. Some are also pro-choice on abortion, while others like me believe liberty extends to the unborn child and their life is more important than their mother's convenience.

As to Darwin... All my life I've been inundated w/ that. I find it borderline laughable.

Another question then: where does the funding for foreign intervention come from? The government is drastically scaled down in size and power, and - I'm assuming based on taxation wishes of people - financially. How would they support a war overseas?

As for Darwin...have you gone beyond what people have told you all your life? Have you read books that contradict everything you believe? And what is it that is so wrong with it that you can't accept it. Do you totally deny macro-evolution? Again, I'm curious. I want an understanding of what is going on in bassjones head. :)

I totally buy micro-evolution and totally discount macro-evolution.
