I can see her sitting there
Gently brushing back her hair

Our eyes could not look away
Hunger so thick in the air
And then was gone another day

And so we passed the lonely years
A distant love would ever burn
And all around us ever turn

Waking in the dead of night
Dreams I know she dreamed
Wasteful thoughts it seemed

Until that day
She found her way
Back to me

Through that long and empty time
We both had grown within
Settled into our skin

Yet still there burned inside a spark
It had survived the storms
And all the years we'd worn

"Time.", she said once long ago
I can see her sitting there
My heart so full of fear

I knew then the road was long
I kissed her cheek, said goodbye
And both ours hearts began to cry

Until that day
She found her way
Back to me
