IPFW Battle

Post by scout »

So last year we had such a great response for the Battle that we decided to do it once again. Here is the first official call out. Any and all bands that have at least 1 member who is currently attending IPFW or has graduated from IPFW is eligible for this Battle. The venue is Walb Ballroom which holds a max of 650 people we overflowed last year’s venue. This year we have been joined by Jam Crib and a few other local businesses so the prizes are up a notch too! The Battle will be April 21, 2006 from 5 to 10ish. If you interested or have any questions, rants, or so on please contact us.
ALSO for those who don’t meet the IPFW rule we have open slots between bands if you want to just come showoff your skills.

FYI BOB ROCKS is the theme so if ya see it randomly everywhere forgive our annoying ad campaign.

Clean out your eyes and take another look at the avatar. It's not a tongue, but some fabric held in a mouth.

Right. Fabric. I'm sure the shape and suggestive positioning have absolutely NO intended sexual imagery whatsoever.

Thanks for setting me straight.

I didn't say it wasn't sexual, I just that it isn't a tongue.

Hey, things are going kinda crazy right now. We're still here though. Sorry if we haven't contacted you yet, we will get to it. Currently we're waiting on funding from the Student Government. Once that gets done, the ball should be rolling quickly. Thanks for your patience and we can't wait for your auditions!

auditions

Post by scout »

Ok here is the run down on the auditions. We will be running the 27 hour Jam Session at Jam Crib this weekend so, if your group wants to come audition there, we'll be very willing to work with you. You will need to schedule a time slot for your group. There is a small fee ($7 per person non-members Jam Crib, $5 for members Jam Crib $3 for those just watching) for playing in the Jam Session however, the funds go towards the cost of Battle of the Bands. Otherwise send your demo's to us through e-mail or to the Student Life office on campus, care of Campus Scouts. Next week is our spring break so again we will try to have a decision by March 23, please hang in there it is midterm time. Feel free to call or e-mail if you have questions.
