Macromedia Freehand MX

Does anyone have what they would consider extensive experience, or advanced mastery of this illustration software?

Maybe. I know freehand but I'm better with illustrator. What's the prob?

I need to get my hands on some good learning resources. I do not have illustrator and cannot afford it, but I have a license for StudioMX and have not really used Freehand much.

Photoshop sucks for doing illustrations, and I really want to start doing some illustration work.

My advice is find a ripped copy of illustrator, freehand is worthless. Same with fireworks. Why waste time with the second rate? In my opinion it would be like me telling someone interested in web design to go learn Front Page instead of dreamweaver, yuck!!!!

Macromedia owns the web development end of things but Adobe still reigns as far as imaging goes. Plus I can imagine that with the current merger between Macromedia and Adobe that they will be weeding out things like freehand and fireworks or adobeizing them

Thats just my opinion.

I prefer the Adobe ImageReady / Dreamweaver combo.

I'll burn a disk and kick it to ya if you want.

Oh I did! I couldn't imagine you working with that program, and if I caught you I'd probably cuff you on the back of the head! LOL!
