they typically go in three's... who's next?
1. I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. - Romans 15

His song, called Phoenix, rocked.

'Another New Years Eve' was an example of good storytelling.

On edit: The 'going in threes' thing is bunk. It is arbitrary; what time parameters do we put on the 3 deaths – 1 week? 1 month? 1 year?

Did you mean "Same Old Lang Syne"?

I always get a little chocked when that plays during the holidays.

Killer soprano sax solo at the end.

Leader of the Band is another touching tune.

Leader of the Band will always be touching to me. I played it at the funeral of my college band director. Nobody writes like that anymore. Great storytelling.

Yeah, wow, three in a row.... along with 150,000, more or less, every day.

Get real... you think the universe pays attention to our concept of 'celebrity?'

no actually I don't, the three is a mind trick, humans look for patterns...hence music...so when someone famous dies everyone pays attention and wonders who will die next...I'm certain there are months where one famous person dies and that's it and people forget eventually and don't pay attention to that, but when there is more than one then people start trying to form patterns..everything in life is a pattern, by design and people get upset if there is no apparent pattern there and go looking for one. another good example is "the curse of 27" nevermind that lane from alice in chains was well over 27 when he OD'd or that shannon hoon of blind melon was 28
