I think you just like it when a band hasn't yet gelled. And when they do it scares you and you have to go find some other underdeveloped talent to listen to until they get better, and so on and so on.

I am a huge Pink Floyd fan. I appreciate the genius of thier music, etc., but it's not for everyone. That having been said, Syd must have had some massive impact on the guys (Water, Gilmour, Wright, and Mason) to write, basically, an album about him - Wish You Were Here.

If nothing else, he can be seen as a visionary - and not because he was clinically nuts. But, don't get me wrong....I'm not jocking him. Floyd's early stuff is ... wierd.

while the two of you blare yer pavement tunes ill be explaining to you that i like what i like and theres a very real reason for it ... at dawn and it still moves are two completely different albums - thats why i only enjoy one of them ... dirty south and blessing/curse are two completely different albums and thats why i only like one of them

i dont see why everything has to follow the same trajectory ... im not the same person i was when i was seven - thirteen - eighteen - twenty one - hell - im not the same person i was a few weeks ago

because of this some people that i used to talk with - hang out with - consider very good friends ... are no longer in my life - theres no contact whatsoever with a handful of them

maybe ill reconnect with some of them - but if not - oh well

same with music - i dont listen to the same stuff i did when i was younger - same can be said for certain artists/groups i enjoy currently - not everything they release is blindly encouraged and scooped up by me ... ill sit this one out with a few bands and maybe check back in with em later

maybe not ... but theres no formula and im never in a situation where i think to myself - oh well its time to move onto something else ... there are just as many bands that i own and adore everything theyve ever done as there are bands i feel the opposite about

but you wont realize or understand any of what i have to say because youll have gold soundz cranked!
