Flute and Trumpet players

I am looking for info online and good web pages to get my kids away from "band music" and into more emotional feel..... they can count, now i want them to play

any help would be appreciated

Get a good private teacher and turn them onto classic R&B and Funk.

If their school has a good jazz band program, enlist them. Get them lessons in improvisation, so they can have their turn soloing.
