OK. . . check out these 'artists' then.

These bands are musicians of their own. . . they have fans. . . they are pretty successful. You could probably compare the band above to these bands in some aspects.

All these bands must have gotten their guitars 2 months ago too.

Oh sweet baby Jesus, I had hoped it was an isolated incident. In addition to misc. "cores" most of the descriptions list "experimental" as part of their genre type. I'm pretty sure the experiment failed and it ate all of their respective brains. Although when I listened to the last one I was able to pick out a few pitched guitar notes but I'm thinkin it was an accident. The only bad thing about giving all those links is that I think I lost several IQ points just by listening to them. I think it may have cut off the oxygen to my brain for too long. My God I think I need a tobbasco enema just to get that "core" taste out of me. Thanks Fata! I think? Anyhoo...see ya

Look..... no disrespect to you or your music BUT, I have a word for you ....."clean" ....To kill a song (not in a good way) is bad and to play "SLOPPY" is not art unless you have some contrast to it ....i.e.....Miles Davis Bitches Brew. No one can say anything bad about that cut ...chops are chops... He has contrast to his abstract fusion music. Another band is Mahavishnu.To play at a master level like that is art.......Look man I'm all for people playing just to play....and if this music is the level of your music understanding that's cool..... so be it... BUT .....If you study and respect the art and this music is a factor that would be very odd....BUT who am I to say.....Bottom line..there may be a fan base....AND..... J LO and A Simpson. They have lots of fans and they both suck...Just because it is underground or top 40 dosen't make it cool or good .I would think this topic started as a joke and you think this is art? NO... It is music BUT has NO contrast at all...If you think so you need alot of help......"Speed is cool but without control it's nothing".....HDM

Sloppy music is unacceptable, but sloppy writing is okay? How can you expect someone to take your ideas seriously when you cannot even construct complete sentences?

to answer you.... No..... It's not.... .My bust on the keys ...Yes It is a fact that I suck at this..I read this every day at the same time i study 6 to 8 hrs a day at age 33 and I still get up at 9am after doing a 4hr set last night so sleep is a factor in this as well.Get me on the stage and say that... the "fans" will tell you not me because I respect the art .people say things... take what you want....

No harm, no foul. I just wanted to point out the inequity. Nothing personal. The internet is the devil's playground for bad spelling and grammar and I am among the top offenders. I just wouldn't rag on slop with slop is all.

Ollie says, "Lets just cut to the chase...so forth and so on. The cool part about this being the United States is that we get to dabate the topics that we feel strongly about. As a musician I feel strongly about 3 min. of white noise being referred to as "music." So...thanks everyone for their civilized input. I guess everytime a debate gets going on these boards we'll just have Ollie come in and set us straight. So stop thinking for yourself, that's the quickest way to hell!

I don't understand how Ollie's post in any way denegrates another person's opinion. In fact, I think that he was supporting that entire argument. Some will like it, some will not. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean that it is not an artful expression.
