need experienced lead and rythm guitar players

Post by ihitwithstix »

We are currently seeking two guitar players. One with the ability to play lead and the other to play rythm. Our goal is to put together a 5 pc. band with original music. The sound we are looking for is more on the alternative to melodic rock genre witha little bit of heavier riffs on occasion. There are currently a drummer, bass player and vocalist ready to put this together asap. The three of us all have been with local and not so local acts and have tons of stage and studio experience. The drummer is mid-30's and has over 25+ years of playing experience, owns professional quality gear and is motivated to get this thing moving. The bass player has years of experience. He has professional gear(Mesa Boogie Stack), and is ready to go. Last, but not least, our vocalist. He is in mid-to-late 20's has been involved with the local scene and has one of the widest ranges I've heard in this area in a long time. The drummer and vocalist both take lessons in there area of specialty and believe we can never be good enough.I guess we strive to be the best at what we do. So,if you dont have any hang ups(jealous girlfriends, addiction problems and any other thing that is not our problem), call me 260-247-0200,Roger I also have practice site(my finished basement).Did I fail to mention we have many contacts in the tri-state area and would like to be on the road come summer.

I play rhythm and I live in the fort, and I am dedicated, and I love music, and I have experience(15 years), and I am ready asap, and..... basically I think I might be a good fit. I sing also, so I can do backing vocals or lead sometimes. And, to top it all off, I write and have a stack of songs.
PM me if interested.

Lead and Rhythm Positions

Post by renzo »

I'm doing the legwork for a Lead and Rythym Guitarist looking for a band. Both are 22 yrs old with approx 8 yrs experience, very talented and looking for a band that is focused on doing originals (not really interested in another cover band). They can play any style but lean towards a heavier progressive rock sound - would love to find a drummer who's style is influenced by Mike Portnoy. Please forward a list of audition material and schedule us for a try out. Where is the rehearsal space? What equipment do we need to bring to your studio for audition?

Thanks

Tom
