Bassist, Drummer, Singer Wanted for "Hobby" Band

Post by PGlowacki »

We are two guitarists (lead and rhythm) looking for a bass player, drummer and a lead singer (or maybe a drummer or bass player who can sing lead) to join us once or twice a month just to jam and learn some songs. We play mostly classic rock but are open to other genres. A singer with your own PA gear wold be a definite bonus.

We are older guys (late 30's to mid-40's), employed full time and not looking to make it in the biz, nor to play out necessarily (although if the right opportunity arose, we would consider it). We will have the opportunity to play a private outdoor party or two in summer 2008 and would have to have about 20 songs ready for that.

Basically, we don't want the band to be a second job, but to get together just for fun to play great music. We are looking for players who can work together without someone taking over and running the show. This is intended to be fun first and not for profit or ego-trips. We have a drum kit and possibly could arrange for practice space. At this point, though, the Jam Crib might be our best bet to get started. That way, if the chemistry is not right on either end, there would be no big deal.

If you have read this far and are still interested in the possibility, you can reach me by my email link.

Thanks for reading.
