Open Wounds Seeking Rythm Guitarist

Post by jsatt311 »

O.k. with the Adman back at school for the year we are looking for a Rythm Guirtarist. Here's what we are looking for:

1st-Rythm Guitarist, duh! We want someone to come in and plan on playing rythm not lead. Your job would be to fill in the lead throughout the week while the Adman is at school then back on Rythm when The Adman is back. Like I said we need to you be a rythm guitarist with the ability to play lead in the absence of our Lead.

2nd-Transitions are a must. We use alot of transitions in our music so you must be able to as well. We consider ourselves a Melodic Metal band. We like to call it "Junk Rock" because of all the different styles we incorporate into our sound. You must also be able to write your own stuff.

3rd-We are a close band we hang out outside of the band. So we are looking for someone in the 21-28 age group. Who wants to make some great music & have fun with it.

4th-Leave the ego at the door. Not gonna get you anywhere in this band. Don't care if you can shred like Dime. Everyone in this band is equal, has an equal say, yet everyone knows their place.

5th-The Band is the band. Keep your drugs, police rap, and girlfriends out of it. The fewer distractions the better. We all understand being broke is a part of life hell everyone of us is but we put together what we can to make what we can. Everything in the band is split all ways earnings and dues.

6th-Learn Quick. We are in the studio process and we have some big shows coming up with the possibility of some out of state shows. So your gonna need to be able to come in pick up quick and be stage ready fast.

Like I said before we need a Rythm Guitarist to add to our Lead Man "The Adman". Adman goes to school down at Purdue so as you can tell he can't make it back at anytime we want to hold a practice which has put a kink on when we can practice. So we need "YOU" to come in and learn the leads, at the sametime be the Rythm Guitarist we need. We are not looking to change our sound either so either you like our sound and that's the kind of music you want to make or you don't. If you don't then don't bother. Ya your thinking it sounds like alot but once your in the band you'll understand why. Anyquestions just ask check us out @

These posts are borderline on the bump policy. Another post like these without adding new information and they'll be deleted. If there were people out there interested in this thread or your project, they would certainly have contacted you or posted.

I'm confused. Are you looking for someone to spend the time to learn leads, play leads at practice (who is playing rythm then?) and come show time stand in the back and play rythm?

My bad on the bump I really wasn't trying to and I didn't want to make a new post basically with the same info. So I appologize for that.

Here's the deal. We are looking for a 2nd guitarist. No your sole responsibility would not be do all the work while our other guitarist is at school then get bumped when show time comes or when he comes home. It would more mutual than what I guess i had lead on to believe. We just don't want someone coming in and trying to take over and changing our sound to what they want to play because alot of our sound is guitar influenced and the rest is put to that. We really want someone who can come in learn the material quick. Someone who can share the roles of guitarist. Our other guitarist isn't worried about really who plays lead and who plays rythm he is willing to share that load. We are really easy going guys we like to hang out get drunk with each other. So bascially if you can play the guitar like to have fun and want to get nuts on stage with a bunch of level headed guys making good music hit us up.
