It's okay, I can wait.

Sarcasm meter ::ON::
More like logic filter off, i think. Its idiotic to assume one post on this board is all he's done. All you're basically saying is that fwm.com is a joke, and no serious musician would or should bother posting here for a pro gig. And you know, you might be right, but ignoring even an unprofessional outfit like fwm.com would not be in any serious musicians best intrests, hell i have 3 pro jobs lined up in the next month(nothing in writing yet) from replying to a 'single post' on these boards. My brother plays in professional theatre shows in nashville, branson, toronto, etc.., and he got that gig by placing an ad very much like this one.

Dont let the fatalists and sarcastic jerks keep you down, but of course, you already know this, dont you?

(and for all the posters who are complaining about no support for the local scene, how are the above replies Helping anything, but your own inflated ego?)

well you sure got me there.

I can only assume you brother posted a very similar 4-word resume too?

And for the local scene...it appears the original poster is/was looking to get OUT of it.

I laughed really hard at this, but had nothing clever to add. So, I'm paying homage by quoting it for a third straight time. Viva la pro job.

a musical identity, local or national, that possesses all talent, gear, and drive to "wow" people. Yes I can play...I'm working in a studio now so that is keeping me entertained. I have had alot of leads. I'm hooked up with a great singer/guitar and talking to a few other people. If anyone would like to check out what we got goin on let me know
Here's a quick preview of the studio(cut and paste)

Apple Mac Pro 2.6GHz Intel computer
Protools 7.1
Digidesigns 002 rack
Focusrite Octopre
BBE 882 sonic Maximizer
Wave's gold bundle
Senheiser e-604 mic/snare mics + 609 guitar mic
Audix d-6 kick drum mic
AKG overhead condensors
Neuman tlm103 vocal mic
Shure SM-58
Roland V-drum TD-6
Mesa Nomad 2x12 and Dual Rec Maverick 1x12 + 2x12ext
Traynor 2x12
VoxAC15
Line 6 variax 700 w/ Pod XT live
Gibson Deluxe(1970), Standard(1967 modified to 3 humbuckers), Double Cutaway(EMG), Special w/ P-90's and a SG standard
Fender Strat, Telecaster(Lace pups)
Gibson J-30 and 2 takamine G-series acoustics
Dynaudio Studio monitors(nice) presonus 4-headphone amp
Beynerdynamic headphones.

Free recording to those who want to jam and we are less than half the cost of surrounding studios. Full day times even cheaper...those who know gear can vouch...we have great stuff and can be very competitive.
