I am looking for musicians to start a band in the Syracuse area. It will be a high energy band that knows how to have fun, how to get the crowd to have fun and how to get the crowd to feel like they are participating in the process. All this while playing music at the highest caliber and behaving as professionals.
The music will be based around blues but will also incorporate some southern rock and some high energy rock like Pat Travers, ZZ Top, Rare Earth, Rick Derringer, Cactus, etc., plus maybe some Motown and Stax stuff.
Originals will also be considered if they fit right.
This is not a hobby band. You won't have to quite your day job but I want to work the band as much as possible.
No drinking or drugs while on band time. No showing up at rehearsal or a gig under the influence. If you need a drink or a puff to get relaxed, don't bother with this. This is a "one strike and your out" situation.
Being high on music is all that is allowed.
After the gig we can party.
I need
1. a front man and/or woman that can put on a show and work a crowd
2. 1 to 2 lead guitars
3. keys (I know… hard to find)
4. harp (also hard to find)
5. drums
Anybody that can sing will have an edge. Some nice 3 part harmonies would be sweet.
I sing and play bass.
Male and female are invited to audition.
Any age as long as you know what you are doing and are a disciplined musican.

I am doing the same. i was part of a group called GEL. and thats what we did. but i left the guys and am REFORMING the whole band. I play ryth. guitar.
and have a drummer and possibly a singer. I sing also just fyi.
So i work in warsaw and so does the drummer. I did all the booking and had us playing big time gigs. but we needed a better set list but they werent willing to do it so i left after 4 1/2 years with the same guys. is was hard to do but had to be done to go to the next level. Let me know what you are thinking
