OH, play me some Modern Music!?!??!

[color=blue]Ok, but not what Grandma and grandpa used to play!

Female vocalist here looking to start a band to do predominately modern country and modern rock/alternative. You know like Avril, Carrie Underwood, Gretchen Wilson, Nickelback, Hinder, Evanesence, Barlowegirl, Big & Rich, SheDaisy and the list goes on. Then maybe throw in one or two rock/country classics or maybe some blues traditionals like Etta James, Aretha Franklin and Patsy Cline. All over the place, you say, yeah that's the point. It seems that the majority on here seems only interested in classic rock, classic country or screamin metal. Well, what about all the music in the middle? I say let's put something together that everyone can enjoy and the versitality will get you in almost anywhere. You can always get more specific from gig to gig.

If anyone is looking to do something like this or if you are a band that is looking for a singer like me, hit me up! I would also interested in being in a duo or trio with other singers- I am great with harmony too!
You can also view my website myspace.com/terinawakefield. The 2 songs I have on there are from a long time ago and are both country- not the sound I want to do now. I want to do something a little more dynamic. But they are all I have for now. Anyway, at least you can get an idea of my voice from it.

As a side note, I would also like to eventually work into doing originals where all the above sounds are meshed together. More country with a harder sound, more like what Big & Rich have accomplished. Might as well shake things up!

You may have noticed the add I put up yesterday for BootLeg. We concentrate on the kind of music you describe, and we are in need of a new frontperson. We play every weekend, with a few exceptions, around the region and at the country-rock venues in Fort Wayne.
