@ Slimbug: Yee ha! I think that I may have a couple more ideas to explore, but we won't really know until Saturday, will we? Anyhow, thanks for the update and I'll bring my crappy little four track to the session. We can try to get some things recorded so that we have something to refer back to.

No, really... I know how hard it is to find the right people.

Good luck and let us at FWM know what the name of the band will be and we will all come see you..

If it doesn't work out though........

we do the cover thing...from cash to cheap trick and jimmy eat world, goldfinger and nancy sinatra doors the cars van morrison clapton joan jett yadda yadda..........anything and everything

Hey, thanks! I appreciate the consideration! As I was telling the guys this past Saturday, I was shocked to get any bites off this ad at all. Considering the limited schedule, I really didn't expect much.

As of the time of this posting, an offer has been made by the guys I auditioned for on Saturday, and I'm taking it. Thanks to everyone who showed interest, and I'm glad to have talked with you all!

The band, as it stands now, does not have a name and we'll be looking for a second guitarist, so you may see a new thread open up for that, but I believe that they already have a few people in mind or lined up for the gig!

Thanks, Roger. I was going to do this today and wholly neglected it. Sorry, man.

I've edited the subject and the first post so that interested parties will be directed to the right place.

I think it's important to note that the band already has management representation and close connections to the booking personnel for a national venue. I don't remember the history verbatim, but didn't the band previously open for national acts?

This should be a great project! If you're interested, I'll list some of my songwriting influences: Stereomud, Seether, Ra, Disturbed, Full Devil Jacket, Tonic, 40 Below Summer, Tool, and several others. I'm not saying my writing exemplifies these artists, but when I'm looking for inspiration, I hit their albums for ideas.
