looking to start noisy power pop melodic rock band

hey there - my name is matt - and i want to start a band - i've played drums and guitar for about 15 years now. i'm looking for people that want to write noisy but melodic pop rock songs - and have a good time doing it.

honestly, it doesn't matter if you don't have a ton of chops or experience - i would much rather play and write with people that have great ideas and are excited about making songs.

i'm happy playing either drums or guitar - i sing pretty badly - but i would give it a shot. bass, keys, singer, another guitar player or a dedicated drummer would round out the group.

my influences songwriting-wise include, but aren't limited to: guided by voices, dinosaur jr., the talking heads, sweet, cheap trick, badfinger, the grifters, pavement, the minutemen, apples in stereo, sebadoh, sonic youth, husker du, the arcade fire.

i've got a place to practice - a drum kit - guitar amp and a bass rig. at this point playing shows isn't that big a deal to me - but if the right thing comes along i wouldn't be opposed to playing out.

experienced drummer, straight blues is my first choice...have opened for delbert mcclinton,lonnie brooks, uppity blues women, also gigged with a srv tribute band, played bass in a power trio, currently gigging, gear, transportation, some vocals, no issues.
