Tired of making $3.50 an hour at a dead end job? Is your boss a jerk? Would you like to go on vacation 51 weeks out of the year, traveling on your own private jet? Would you like to buy tons of music gear without having to worry about how to pay the rent? You can be a musician! OK, now that I got your attention, here's the real deal. I'm looking to gig in Ft. Wayne. I last played in an acoustic duo in NY for the past 4 years gigging steady 3-4 gigs per month before moving to Ft. Wayne last summer. I hate tooting my own horn but I have a good track record of getting and holding regular gigs, I am very good at having my tunes worked out, showing up to rehersal and I am very laid back and enjoy a good laugh hanging out in the bars playing music. No ego trips, just enjoy music and hanging out with musicians and having a beer or two. It sure beats sitting around typing ads on FWM (no offense FWM, thanks for a great website). I am looking to meet some Ft. Wayne musicians with the intention of gigging. First step is to hook up with some different peeps to so who is into what. Emails don't really help much when it comes to seeing what people are all about. Drop by the house, I will play you a few of my originals, play a little, I'd like to hear what you're into and have a cold Coors on me. No core, screemo, choke-o, coughing, whatever. Sorry, its just not my scene. I'm a quasi-hip, young 43 year old dude. {My shaved head makes me look 33, not that anyone cares... } My music interests are psuedo current pop John Mayer, Maroon 5, Oasis, Veritcal Horizon type stuff. I also have done some R&B stuff acoustically which was cool - Usher, Craig David, Lenny Kravitz, I have also done some older stuff Beatles, Clapton, James Taylor, may also consider country. Bottom line is I am looking for something to spark my interest that will result in performing . I am a guitarist/ vocalist. I have a very good ear and can pick up most music tunes quickly, very solid harmonies, and some lead vocals. Looking for vocalist, guitarist for acoustic project or may try a possible band (bass and drums). Drop me a note and tell me a bit about what you are into. Try to write more than 3 words if possible. Age doesn't matter but you need to be old enough to work the bar scene. You don't have to be Eddie VanHalen, none of us are. I'm not looking to light the music world on fire, I think someone else already destroyed it. While you won't make millions, you may get a free beer out of the deal. Bass player here looking to do something different musically speaking. Your ad sounds interesting and promising! I'm in my late thirties (also with a shaved head) and although probably not the worlds best bass player, I enjoy jamming and writing and have some experience performing and I would be willing to give it a shot!

I'm in the process of checking out other gruops, but would like to meet you sooner or later, hopefully sooner.

this is a very promising add you have there indeed. im in to music more along the line of sulblime reggae/ punk ska type stuff .. i play guitar and bass (some drums) and can sing and harmonize...i dont have a day-job(or a job) im 18 and i think that works for bars if your in the band. im down to come to you and put a show for you personally.
