Agreed. It's unfortunate he played in such a racist era. He should be a household name.

1 vote shy of the hall last year - with the inaugural class of Negro League players. A damned shame given that he's the one who fought so hard for so long to get the Negro Leaguers recognized by the hall.

RIP Buck, you will be missed.
