Two things:

First:

When Welker went out of bounds just before the 2 minutes warning it should have stopped the clock...he was untouched...

Second:

They need to regulate the 'taking a knee' crap. I wouldn't condone it for a win if done like that...and back to the first point. If they had stopped the clock as should have been done...they would not have been able to take a knee to win the game.

That is a Mark Prior way to win. If you don't have faith enough in your players to make plays then you don't need to play the game...

Game over...Colts loose...but we will still go farther than NE this year...The Colts dominated the game and NE regardless of the outcome. Had we a full starting line-up we would have been able to pour it on. There is a half season left to play.

Also..Tom Brady is still a flaming homosexual...

The Colts blew it.

No excuses. Up by 10 with 9 minutes to go...you can't win if you can't seal the deal.

Questionable play calling throughout and too many dropped balls.*

Oh well...hopefully they take their frustrations out on the Chargers.

GO COLTS!

*Run the ball up the gut on 3rd and 20 (twice) and then air it out on 3rd and two and Wayne drops a ball that he should've caught. The way Addai was running (and carrying the team ALL NIGHT) and they didn't trust him to get 2 friggin yards...unbelievable.

Yeah, play calling was suspect...no reason why Indy couldn't have held out for the win with 9 minutes to go...

At least the Pats looked more human after taking on the colts...

Oh, and I was pretty close on the score...

Rezin you are right. Have you ever been in the stands at a Colt's<--(haha apostrophe) game? It is like a meeting of the bottom of the gene pool.

The Colts got beat by a team that didn't even play their best game. Face it, they had one fluke year and won't make it again.

And considering Welker caught that pass and intentionally went down inbounds, indicating he was downing the ball, means the clock runs. Smart players make smart plays. Bad players fumble with the game on the line when they should protect the ball.

The river of tears flows on...

p.s. I am not even a Pat's fan.
This system cannot be reformed or voted out of office because reforms and elections do not challenge the fundamental causes of injustice.

He still has to be touched to be 'down'. He went out of bounds rolling...it was down at that point...

Any credibility you had when it comes to football went out the window with that statement.

Not true. If he intentionally goes down he's down. It's the same as taking a knee to run out the clock.

First & foremost, this game proved to me that both teams are very beatable.........Go Steelers.

Observations:

Don't panic, for once, the Colts may actually be built better for outdoor games than the '07 "speedy" Patriot team; so, they may be just as well off going to Foxboro in January.....Hard hitting defenses & solid running games typically fare well in bad weather games.

The Colts have no depth........Dallas Clark was taken completely out of this game because of the absence of Marvin Harrison.....In my book, that's weak. The Colts have a great backup running back, but other than that - not much depth.

Keeping on the lack of depth observation......Losing their starting left tackle may have been an even bigger loss to the Colts than Marvin......the offensive line totally unravelled in the fourth quarter.

Uh, Tom Brady is the modern day Joe Montana......Actually, he's better than Joe Montana.

Finally, the old Manning showed up late in this game........protect the damn ball & take the sack, DUMMY!!!!

Agree with Fleek. He was trying to make a play. Sometimes that happens. You have to know when to protect the ball and go down, and when to throw caution out the window and try to make the play. At that point in the game, you're trying to make a play. I thought it was a helluva game, regardless of who won.

And let's face it we're watching the two greatest QBs of all time in their prime go head-to-head. By the time they're done they could have 10 Superbowl rings between them (Brady will have 9 of those though:)), plus own all sorts of passing records. This is like Bird and Magic in the 80's.

How 'bout my Lions, eh???!!!!

lookout for the rematch. that was a good game. I think the Colts proved they have what it takes to take down the patriots.

They proved they can compete with the Patriots. There are no moral victories. Colts got beat. - emphasis on PERIOD

You're wrong, Jones. Peyton Manning is a bad player.

That post may get my vote for the most idiotic post of the year on FWM.
