ok.... I want to say first off that I am a selfish butthead who is obsessed with the Cubs......ok.

So I watched today's game. It was really good. I was amped when Barrett hit his pitch-hit homer.

Right after he hit it.....my wife cut herself accidently with a knife....it eventually required 5 stitches. Anyway, I missed the 8th and 9th innings of the game, because I had to take her to Redi-Med. I am pretty much bummed that I had to take her to get stitched up. I had to miss the DLee homer today.

I actually took a 4 day weekend off work so I could see this Cubs-Cardinals series, and I missed the most important moment of the series. Uhhgg.

I will never understand that....there is no reason for it in my eyes. All I hear is, "We are struggling to get Hairston, Perez, and Walker playing time".......who gives a sh*t.....Walker is the bomb, baby! He may be a loud mouth, but at least he hits consistantly.

they could get something good tradewise for perez after last season...keep hairston around to back up walker just in case something happens....i dont get it, walker could hit 300/25/80 easily...instead he gets 350 at bats

I agree with you completely. This has been bothering me since we got Walker. I wonder what they got against him. He must be an A #1 ass-whole.

Chris
I hope it's huge because that's the reason I don't wear hats. They always look too small on my fat head.

from suntimes.com: NL batting champion Derrek Lee and the Chicago Cubs agreed to a $65 million, five-year contract.

I hear that the deal involves a no-trade clause as well.

Here's to 5 years with a super-star that won't throw his back out when he sneezes.

I hated Lee for how well he played for Florida in the play-offs a couple years back.
