I would want to shoot the image myself.

That way you can incorporate it into the design when you set-up and take the image, and you'll have total control on what type of 'face' you want.
The advantage is that you could shoot a bunch of images with one model and use diffenent shots throughout the design.

However I think looking online is a good place to start. The only problem is that a lot of online images are at 72 DPI and are mostly unuseable for print.

If you do end up pullling an image from the web make sure it's at the size you want.

or substcribe to a stock photo website.

istock.com is pretty good. i've gotten a shload of images from them and they're reasonably priced between $1-3 depending on resolution.

but i agree with sm6, shoot your own images!

kk ive lost my camera... but my friend who has one and is good with it will be shooting osme pictures for me when he gets back from working in indy.
