Tatoo's...

Post by Hxc260 »

Well I am an inspiring young artist. I have become increasingly interested in the world of tattoo art. I have some designs that I have drawn and a friend went to a parlor and got it done. The artists that did my designs said that they would like to get in touch with me. So yeah basically I'm wandering what kind of art all you all have done, what type you would like to see, and basically anything to do with tatto's...and if anyone works at a parlor...tips on what to do to get a job.

First off, I'd like you to spell 'tattoo' correctly. It'll make you seem more professional. This isn't a bite at you, just some constructive criticism.

As an artist, I usually end up designing my own tats.

I'm a bit of a misspeller too, so it's no biggie!

Lately, I really digging on bold colors and thick black lines. I dunno though, I still dig the retro Sailor Jerry stuff.

Hey sharkmansix do you know some places that would be into getting a young artist an apprenticeship started?

Not off hand, sorry.

I'd suggest just trying to get to know some artists. They're your best bet for an apprenticeship.

I'd suggest checking out this art show at Convolution Records:

some of those featured artists are tattooists, and I'm sure they would have more info than I.
