Presidential Address on Iraq

Post by Garr »

I can't wait for SNL this week. Gonna be great. I need a transcript of this so that I can have some good, honest comedy to read for years to come.

GWB whispers: We're Freedom lovers. The terrorists hate our freedom. Don't tell Canada.

He should have listened to McCain (whom I don't like) and a lot of other people who were saying the same thing 3 years ago instead of Rummy. Then we wouldn't be in this mess, and he wouldn't have cost the Republicans their majority in the House and Senate.

^ 2nd'd.

And finally addressing the Iran/Syria part of the equation was
somewhat encouraging. If this can properly be
contained, maybe there's hope. This wont take long
to see if it'll work or not.

Bassjones, I showed a fellow co-worker who IS"liberal"
the comment from the other post on me.

They're still rolling on the floor.

I know... I was just kidding. But you did say the government "had more important things to worry about." I don't want them worrying about anything. The less they worry about, the less I worry.

btw, did you catch what I thought was the most important part of the speech? That there are neighborhoods our soldiers were restricted from going into?!?!?!?!?!?!?! WTF!?!!?!?!? That's completely insane. I give. This is going to end up being Vietnam if we keep doing that kind of ridiculous sh*t.

I did watch. This was addressed as to be changed. Previously,
when they did clear out the neighborhoods, after leaving them,
the insurgents returned. This is not to be the case now, as I'm
understanding it. Listened to one of our serviceman's quotes
the other day about the "rules of engagment" they were restricted to.
It sounded more like "rules of restriction" to mau. THIS is supposed to
changed.

Aaah and the Vietnam thing. Like then, this conflict was starting
to reek of "political correctness" with much interference from
Congress. If our serviceman and women are just allowed to do
their jobs, I believe our success in this would be much more apparent.

Sorry for the wordiness,.... I've got passion today.
I think I need a beer.
