As far as I'm concerned, Sadaam's trial was a joke. He should have been either tried by an international war crimes court or, as the US gladly took over the role of deciding what's good for the world, US court. The latter, while it would have proved fascinating for all the US secrets Sadaam could have spilled, would never have happened. If there's not enough stability for Iraqis to live under self-rule, I don't see how it's deemed reasonable for them to put their former leader on trial. It's politically expedient for the US, as they were guaranteed an execution without having to undergo the rigorious checks and balances of their own justice system.

Either way, just because people want someone dead does not make them a justifiable kill and this whole pack mentality public stoning

They want to kill innocent people I don't see anything wrong in killing them. At least I know there is one less person out there trying to kill anything and everything for whatever reason.

I would assume anyone not liking the hanging and 'justice' that was done would let oh let's see...HITLER off as well??

Where was Amnesty International when Saddam was putting people in prison for no reason and hanging them and killing them and gassing them and whatever else he and his 'people' were doing.

Oh yeah...I forgot...he was probably a 'victim'...

Say what you will but I know not ONE of you that got your panties in a bunch over his hanging would want to spend ONE MINUTE living under his rule...or you would probably be able to 'talk' your way out of problems and pain...good luck to ya...

Aside from that, I don't disagree that he should have died. However, I disagree with people acting like someone dying is any reason to get excited. Of course some people in the middle east cheered post-9/11 (others would probably claim that ALL the people in the middle east were excited to see it happen), the same way some people here have cheered over top Iraqi officials being killed - and having their deaths shown all over television and the magazines.

I thought our country was a little more developed than that. And I thought our country was a little more grown up than that. I thought being the moral "God loving" nation we are would put us a step above saying crap like has been said in this topic. Sadly, I've been proven to be seriously wrong.
