Are we to become Mexiamericanada?

Post by WBOB »

Check this article.

Is the president and others behind an effort to remove
U.S. borders and national sovereignty in an
effort to increase the Mexican population
lower overall wages for the benefit
of U.S. corporate interests!

If this is true, I'm ticked.

Except right now Senate Republicans are writing a bill that would put a fence on the border. If they do anything, it will be to strengthen economic trade more. Don't worry, we're not going to give up our national sovereignty to a bunch of socialists.

So who cares if they're socialists? They could be fascist anarchists. It still doesn't change the fact that I don't own a car.

I couldn't imagine a 'merger' but I could see a big push from some form of a 'North American Union' a'la the European Union.

That's the extent of what I see too. And sharing security isn't a bad thing at all. If we can help keep the terrorists out of Canada and Mexico, it will help keep them out of the US.

Strongly believe we're too late on that part.

Tend to agree, but for the future it's not a bad option.

Interesting point of view.

I also find it interesting when I see a job in my field offering an extra $10,000/ annually if you can speak Spanish. Since I don't, that's frustrating...but it's also making me look into taking Spanish classes.
