Hypocrite!

Post by bassjones »

In today's edition of "Do as I say, not as I do", we meet little Albert, otherwise known as "Global Warming Alarmist Guy"... But little Albert's not nearly so willing to sacrifice his comfort as he expects the rest of us to be... gee, I'm so surprised by that...

http://www.usatoday.com/news/opinion/ed ... reen_x.htm

Perhaps the situation's not quite as dire as little Albert and his cult would like us to believe...

Regardless of Mr. Gore's houses; the majority of the worlds scientists think that global warming is a threat.

I'll trust them first.

So who's cashing in on this? Green energy companies?

Please, ISO 14001 certifications for manufactuers. Automotive companies offering new added features and new hybrids. Pretty much anyone selling a product and labeling it to help save the enviorment is cashing in on this.

It might be a valid concern somtime way down the line, but it is blown out of proportion and now people are just taking advantage of the situation and the general publics ignorance.

Yes, global warming is occurring; but if you see a plot of average temperatures plotted out over the last THOUSAND YEARS, you would see that it is a natural temperature trend that human activity has very little, if anything to do with.

Say, wasn't Al wearing a polyester shirt in the pic, with plastic buttons?. . .and a METAL watch? Gonna' have to forego those polluting luxuries if you wanna' go carbon-neutral.
"Yesterday Mr. Hall wrote that the printer's proof-reader was improving my punctuation for me, & I telegraphed orders to have him shot without giving him time to pray." -Mark Twain

Automotive companies offering new added features and new hybrids.
Except almost all the automotive companies show records that selling hybrids costs them more then they make selling them.
It might be a valid concern somtime way down the line
So if it has the potential to become a global problem, why not address it now before it is that huge nightmare situation?

Automotive companies get somthing back from selling hybrids, if they didn't they wouldn't make them. Someone pays them, its business, the books and reports don't tell you everything.

And as for your huge nightmare situation, that isnt going to happen for thousands of years.

Define majority. 600 out of 6000 signed the statement at Kyoto. That's an overwhelming Minority.

As to the car companies losing money on hybrids, it's called a loss-leader, and is fairly common. While SUVs and trucks were the hot-ticket item, GM took a loss on all of its under $25,000 cars. An attempt to build brand loyalty, and come upgrade time, daddy needs a new tahoe.
