Syria has Iraq's old nukes

well... not really laughable, but a scary thought. And we're not sure what they do and do not have at this point.

Nukes are easy to make, get some good machinists and if you really don't care about safety a couple of slugs of U-235 can make a pretty decent sized bomb that would easily wpie out a small town and spread fallout over quite a distance.

The delivery system is the problem. Sneaking in a two ton precision weapon is not going to be easy...and a missle big enough to deliver it would have to be launched from sucha short distance that the military wouldn't ahve time to knock it down.

If the Iranians are crazy enough to pull out a Nuke, it will mean the end of their regime. The general Iranian public will not stand for an unprovoked nuclear attack and would probably have enough behind it to overthrow the government.

Iran is much closer to having nukes than
the world may want to admit.

(it helps being aided by their pals in
China & Russia)
