I think that would at least cover all the musicians that post on this board.

Eventually, every human being who attains power begins to use that power for selfish pursuits. "Power tends to corrupt. Absolute power corrupts absolutely." Eventually, as a person gains more pwoer, decisions are made which are intended to hold onto that power rather than serve the good of those who put that person into power. That's why I want term limits for congress and the senate, along with the office of President. Prevents people from gaining too much power. Oh, and judges too. Serve 12 years, then you go back to being a lawyer or something.

Facts>misguided opinions
No, but it's safe to say they're all human beings... "Power tends to corrupt. Absolute power corrupts absolutely." People in power become corrupted. The longer they're in power the more corrupt they become. Old politicians are the most corrupt politicians. Jesse Helms (RIP), Byrd (former KKK recruiter, but he's a Democrat so who cares), Uncle (hiccup) Ted Kennedy, Harry Reid, Cheney...

You have to be power hungry to run for Congress in the first place, you have to raise millions by shaking down your friends and making promises you know you'll never keep; then if you get elected, you spend the next 2 or 6 (depending on which house) raising money for your re-election campaign by shaking down your friends and making promises you can't possibly keep... repeat as necessary to hold on to your piece of the pie.

The Congress already has term limits; they are called ELECTIONS.

Limits on judges? Hopefully, with age and experience, comes some WISDOM along with all that corrupting power.

Yeah, my lot is with the Libertarian candidate as well. When I explain Libertarianism to people, many of them identify themselves as Libertarian as well. Now, if all the Libertarians would just have the cajones to vote their conscience. . . .
I counter your elections with Ted (hiccup) Kennedy and stupid voters...

I would get rid of lifetime appointments - except on the Supreme Court, but I would make impeaching justices a heck of a lot easier. Not that I disagreed with the decision to halt Capital Punishment for those under 19, but Justice Kennedy should have been impeached for using the laws of European countries as a basis for his decision. He's sworn to uphold our constitution, not force the ideals of European Socialist States on the American Public.

That is f'ing brutal.
A cousin (2nd cousin) of mine received the Medal of Honor for doing this same thing in Vietnam.
