Are you of the opinion he'd have had a chance without his celebrity?

yes. The new President isn't a celebrity, nor were any of the Presidents prior to Mr. Heston.

If celebrities are unqualified to endorse political candidates, then pat sajak is most definitely unqualified to write articles.

I cherish all celebrities op's, they're all so in touch with
the real world, and express this area's opinions so well.

When Oprah, Babs, George C, Harry Belafonte speak
about who they endorse,... I get my voting finger ready!

Or, to be fair, Chuck Norris...

The thing that irks me is that Oprah is going to influence all kinds of people. I don't think he'll actually get the democratic bid, but I think she should shut the hell up anyways.

That said, I want someone to shoot Bono in the face. ;)
bono grew up in the streets of ireland in a street gang, he didn't start wealthy and if you'll trace his political voice it starts with thier 1st album, when they were still poor as for oprah as much as I dislike her didn't grow up with money also, she worked her way to the top and overcame alot of road blocks along the way she is someone to be respected although I think some people take what she says too seriously, she has too much influence but she is well informed

Yes Oprah is powerful, but I agree with what you're saying. She started poor, so she can appreciate wealth more than other people can.

You know who I wish was still alive and writing music? Bradley Nowell from Sublime. Man he could've made so many more great albums, I regret his death deeply.
