What's next

Post by jforbes »

I am quickly growing tired of the Local government in Fort Wayne.

The Partitions don't make someone happy so lets ban smoking,

The wizards don't sell out every night so let's build them a bigger stadium on the backs of taxpayers hoping to revitalize downtown?

I am looking for a ban on Alcohol Sunday through Thursday, because most people work through the week and you shouldn't go to work with booze in your system,

OR maybe a gun ban in Fort Wayne, Unarmed citizens make great deterrents to crime.

If we get real lucky the city council will ban controversial books( burn them in the street), and censor what movies are shown throughout Allen County!

Not that I'm keen on the thread, but what relevance does that really have? I mean, if he spends time in Fort Wayne, he's affected by it while he's here. That's like saying that it was wrong to be against the things done in Tibet or Germany or the USSR just because we didn't live there.

I was just simply going to make fun of him for living in Garrett.

And by the way, I'm moving this to the Politics forum.

Yes I live in Garrett, but the next time but if they raise the sales tax the next gun I buy could cost me to pay an extra 50 or sixty dollars,

I am looking at apartments in Fort Wayne, downtown project will raise the cost of property taxes and rent throughout Fort Wayne.

I was being Sarcastic but I am pissed. I thought that we had an economy based on capitalism, SO shouldn't business owners decide whether or not to allow smoking in their establishment,

I can equate the smoking bans across the country to the temperance movement just before prohibition. I dis agree with the Harrison square project, Can someone give me a reason for the downtown project,

Average attendance for the Wizards is not a sell out crowd, Correct?
Most of the business that are planned around the new stadium will be things that have limited hours at night and on weekends, from my information, and the Wizards play mainly at night and on weekends so how does this help anyone?

please help this ignorant moron from outside of Allen County figure this superb economic plan out, I don't think my hillbilly mind can wrap around it in one sitting so please type slow.

This reminds me of the tunnel vision in the press.

Harrison Square is a done arguement,.. and if it's successful
should be little or no cost to taxpayers. Big Outcry.
Lots of press and divisions, pros and cons.

YET! One that will directly affect taxpayers and makes
the Harrison Square project as relevant as a cakewalk,
is the FWCS 500 mil. renovation plan. Throwing major
money at a top-heavy school system that routinely
falls below national average in scores, reeks of coersion.

If I were paranoid, it would almost seem as if one issue
in the press is to partially hide the other.

BTW,....
Sign the yellow sheet if you're for the project.
Sign the blue is you're against it.
