ok i was searching for some online radio cus im sick of listening to the same things and i came acrosss this...
www.shoutcast.com
apperently you can host your FREE radio station and play whatever music you want. Im listening to it now and it streams great and sounds good too. (i havent done too much research because i just found it but it sais free)
now the question...
would anyone be interested having one of these dedicated to local music?
would anyone listen to it?
does anyone have enough local music CDs and that kind of stuff to run it?
i think this would be a great idea personally, and a good way to spread local music and get ppl into the local scene more. Also, I would really be interested in helping with this (it would prolly be a group effort)
one more thing... im guessing it would work like this if anyone is interested... bands would send their music to the person whos running it and they would burn it to their computer to play and give them free air time... dont wanna charge local ppl! could get some Jamcrib advertisements on too and other music stores.
what does everyone think???

THE MUSIC BUSINESS IS A CRUEL AND SHALLOW MONEY TRENCH, A LONG PLASTIC HALLWAY WHERE THIEVES AND PIMPS RUN FREE AND GOOD MEN DIE LIKE DOGS. THERE'S ALSO A NEGATIVE SIDE.

Hmmm...let's see...
FortWayneMusic.com launched...God knows how many hundred years ago...as a LOCAL online radio station using SHOUTCAST...actually helped with a little on the online broadcasting technology and early betatesting of shoutcast...
If you need anything shoutcast related let me know...understand and know you are hosting your own stuff and will need the bandwidth to relay it out to the masses...
