Oh, I agree with you wholeheartedly, but I saw him fronting a full band a few years ago, and he was really good. Kind of an Earth Wind & Fire kind of thing. I can't remember the name of the band... That whole duet/glorified karaoke crap has got to go though.

Chris sings. Paul plays the keyboards and pushes the buttons for the programmed drums-n-bass (YUCK!!!!!) and horns, etc...

Well, I'm one of the "old geezers" who posts on this board now and then. I was a guitarist in various incarnations of the Nightshift house band during it's first run in the early to late 80's. Back then Kevin used to pay the band $100 per show. There was usually four to five of us in the band, so it was $20 to $25 per man. We never made much, but we drank for free, and got to watch comedians like Tim Allen, Pat Paulson, The Amazing Jonathan, Judy Tenuda, and Emo Phillips, etc. With the exception of Kevin's opening monologue, it was better than a sharp stick in the eye...
