Fact is, punk isn't a style you play - it's an attitude. Saying you're "punk" doesn't mean anything, because it's such a wide open genre.

the age old argument. Punk is both a style you play (punk ROCK) AND a way of life. NOT an attitude...

This kind of like saying oh man I am so punk that if I listen to anything that isnt considered punk then I would be a poser.

Punk is also a term used in jails and prisons to denote someone who receives lovin' in the poop chute repeatedly against their will.

by that i mean that there is nothing more "punk rock" than the scene of a ska band outnumbering an audience whilst playing a show.

and punk rockers dont give a f**k ...they take one in the chin and then help eachother up......they dont shop at "hot topic" ...only because they are broke though...(im sure if you happen to buy something from "hot topic" and then hand it off to a "punk rocker" im sure he or she would put that sh*t on and shut up.......they might however shop at the good will or maybe your local salvation army..whatever...play music have fun be differnt thats what its all aboout
