tired of getting screwed? ---booking contract

Post by kylek »

would a mod please see it in their infinite wisdom and kindness to sticky this?

Okay, here's the deal.

I'm tired of getting screwed and I know that most of you guys are as well.

I have written a booking contract that is currently being reviewed by a lawyer... (thank you to Cathy Serrano).

I am going to make this available to anyone who would like it. If you would, just reply here, pm me, or email me so I can get your email address.

My email is kyle.knerr@hotmail.com
it will be in a MS word format.
Two wrongs may not make a right, but they do make a point.

Contracts

Post by Recordstar »

Check out NOLA Press they have a great line of contracts, budget charts, touring budget charts, contract riders...etc..to do with music, publishing...etc...

Also....get hold of any American Federation of Musicians contract form and review it.

Glad to someone out there getting wise to the Ft Wayne method of screwing musicians.

Now all you have to do is get the venue to sign it, good luck.

And get the other 500 bands in town to agree not to book with any venue that doesn't abide by it.

Good Luck Indeed.

It is definitely unfortunate that all the bands can't unite. However it would seem that each band has a different set of experiences at different venues. It is unfortunate but there are just way too many bands in Fort Wayne for that sort of solidarity to take place.
